Research to Practice: How can innovation transform transport planning?
The transport landscape is experiencing revolutionary change through various innovations such as disruptive technologies (e.g. autonomous vehicles), incentivisation schemes to impact travel behaviour and wider access to real time, crowd sourced information. Clearly, new technology and applications will shape the way we plan and manage our transport systems. During these times, research and industry have the opportunity to collaborate at the forefront of planning to improve current practice.
The AITPM YPN invites you to join us in our Q&A Panel Discussion Event, sponsored by the Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (RCITI) UNSW and hosted at WSP’s Sydney offices.
The night is aimed at bringing together industry and research to participate in a Q&A session focused on the evolution of transport planning. We are fortunate to have the following esteemed panel, representing research, industry and government:
Professor S. Travis Waller, Advisian Professor of Transport Innovation, Director of RCITI in the School of Civil and EnvironmentalEngineering at UNSW
Associate Professor Vinayak Dixit, Director of TRACSLab@UNSW, Deputy Director of RCITI
Henry Okraglik, Global Director – Digital, WSP
Devina Hassanaly, Senior ITS Transport Planner, AECOM
Neill Miller, Manager Urban Road Planning, Transport for NSW
We encourage you to propose questions to ask the panel concerning the current state and potential direction of transport research and practice, during registration.
6:00pm registration and networking for a 6:30pm start for Q&A
