Please join us at GTA’s Sydney office for networking and a thought-provoking workshop on station precinct planning and implementation, led by several industry experts.
Station precincts and their planning and implementation is currently a hot topic in Sydney’s transport infrastructure program, particularly with the development of the Metro. Station precincts have many functions; Not only are they key transport hubs, precincts provide the customer with employment and the convenience of retail, food outlets and other services. In developing vibrant precincts for the future, we need to consider the construction management and travel behaviour change required for success.
Following some brief presentations we will workshop what makes effective and well-connected station precincts (over drinks and nibbles of course!).
About our workshop facilitators:
Brett Maynard is a transport engineer and director of GTA Consultants, with over 20 years experience managing projects and teams as well as providing technical input across a broad range of project types. Brett has been involved nationally with development transport assessments, master planning projects, active travel, road network management and road safety.
Dr Patrick Tsai is GTA’s lead transport economist with extensive experience with economic appraisals and business cases for transport projects, from Sydney Metro West to local transport initiatives such as station access programs. His key areas of expertise include cost benefit analysis, econometric modelling and integrated transport and land use modelling.
Adrian Barritt is a Principal Transport Planner at Mott MacDonald and specialises in managing, developing and delivering Travel Demand Management (TDM) programs to support large-scale construction projects. His areas of expertise in TDM involve managing urban transport networks and influencing customer travel behaviours across Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
