Our speakers included:
1. Dave Keenan: Dave is a Chartered Engineer based in Melbourne with professional experience of projects and clients in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, China and Japan. His expertise focusses in the application of dynamic transportation modelling software and in the closely associated disciplines of Civil Engineering, Transportation Systems Design, Intelligent Transport Systems and Mass Mobility Planning & Management. Today he provides from this technical depth of experience in a senior management role in a leading region of Aimsun’s global operations. Dave is a Fellow of the AITPM, the Immediate Past National Chair of the AITPM Transport Modelling Network and serves on the AITPM Victorian State Committee since 2007.
2. Renan Grace: Renan is a Director at KPMG Australia, based in Melbourne. Renan has 12 years’ experience in transport and land use planning, strategic modelling and economics. Renan led the technical development of KPMG’s groundbreaking Melbourne Agent & Activity Based (transport) Model (MABM) and CityPlan, an advanced Land Use Transport Interaction model for Victoria maintained by the Department of Transport. Renan has contributed to numerous high profile business cases including the Suburban Rail Loop, Melbourne Metro, Cross River Rail, Westconnex, Western Interstate Freight Terminal and Perth Freight Link. Renan has also contributed to strategy and policy work, including Infrastructure Victoria’s 30-Year Strategy and Automated and Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure advice, the latter of which won IPAA Victoria’s Evidence-Based Policy Award in 2019.
3. Rebecca Strachan: Rebecca is an Associate Director at GTA Consultants now Stantec, with 17 years’ experience in transport engineering within Australia and the UK. Rebecca has a specialty in the operation performance analysis of networks with a focus on traffic signal and intersection optimisation and design. She is a highly skilled user of SIDRA and undertakes and reviews models from all GTA offices and on behalf of clients such as Transport for NSW and Fairfield City council. Rebecca also provides technical advice to LinSIG, VISSIM and Aimsun modelling projects.
