The Queensland AITPM Branch and SMEC are pleased to present Mr Caspar Baum from Surbana Jurong (the parent company of SMEC) in Singapore and Mr David Oatley from the Brisbane Airport Corporation.


Global Aviation Special

Caspar will outline learnings regarding “Planning for Future Airports”.  This will be the same content that Caspar provided as part of the new “Freight, Port and Aviation” Stream at the successful AITPM Conference in Perth held in July this year.

Based in Singapore since 2014 Caspar is the Director of Aviation and is a senior airport developer with extensive experience in the aviation industry, encompassing a range of projects from new build airport facilities, optimising existing facilities and operations as well as preparing airports for special events such as the Olympic Games.  Caspar is currently the Lead Integration & Interface Manager for the new Changi Airport Terminal No. 5 Project in Singapore.

Brisbane Airport Expansion


David will provide a presentation that details what has been happening at the Brisbane Airport Corporation recently, including exciting new developments such as Brisbane’s New Runway and BNE Auto Mall.

David is currently an Infrastructure Planner with Brisbane Airport Corporation.  David was formerly a Manager at the Department of State Development (DSD) and a Group Manager of North Queensland Bulk Ports.
