PRESENTATIONS

Daniel Osborne (Senior Transport Planner - Arup)
Daniel is a transport planner currently working for Arup in South Australia. His experience spans planning, design and project management of transportation infrastructure projects from around Australia and the United Kingdom. He has a strong professional focus on public transport network and infrastructure planning, human scale street design and emerging analytical tools to support better decision making.

Daniel will talk about how the proliferation of reliable open (or cheap) data describing the transportation networks of many cities around the world is enabling a new breed of  tools which blur the lines between spatial science and transport planning.

Chris Mayer (Transport Analyst - DPTI)
Chris is a Transport Analyst, working in the South Australian Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI). He has over twenty years of experience working in a variety of roles in the field of transport planning and modelling. His interests are mainly around the interrelationship between people and places and how modelling and GIS tools can help provide a better understanding of the people-place dynamics.

Chris will discuss, from the State Government perspective, how transport modelling and GIS applications form part of the essential tools in maintaining/developing and supporting better decision making outcomes.

This is a free event for AITPM and SSSI Members and $15 for non members.

Registrations can be made via SSI's website.
