The WA YPN Committee would love to see you for a walking tour of the recently upgraded Streetscape on Hay St. Come along to learn more about the project and to meet other Young Professionals!
The East End Revitalisation Program has aimed to improve the environment, character and quality of the East End precinct through revitalisation of the streetscape in Hay, Pier and Irwin Streets. The program supports the creation of great streets that are comfortable, safe and tree lined with plenty of invitations to stay. More background information on the project can be found here: https://engage.perth.wa.gov.au/east-end-revitalisation
The walking tour will begin at 4:30pm AWST outside the City of Perth Library and History Centre (Hay St side), and will take approximately 45 minutes.
On the tour, the project team from City of Perth (Kerry White – Project Manager, Lucy Wilson – Urban Designer) will discuss the fundamentals behind the design of the precinct from a transport engineering and urban planning perspective, along with the overarching goals that the project has hoped to achieve. Please note that this event will involve approximately 700m of walking, and will end at Public House Bar where all participants are welcome to network.
Following the walking tour, the AITPM WA YPN committee welcomes all attendees to Public House Bar (263 Adelaide Terrace, East Perth) for informal networking drinks and nibbles - a great opportunity to mingle with fellow YP's!
Now is the perfect time to join the AITPM and get the member rates for this event and access to all of AITPM's other webinars for FREE, including all the recordings of past webinars - it is excellent value!
