An AITPM Young Professional Network FREE event!

Our YPN Showoff is an exciting event to celebrate all the awesomeness of the transport industry and the people that work in them. It is a fun, informal night featuring young planners, engineers, modellers and urban designers from across the industry. Come and see some of Perth’s best talk about what they love most.

Presentations commence at 6.00 pm with each presentation will run for 10 – 15 minutes to showcase and highlight their recent successes.

Introducing our presenters –

Kassia Ralston

Kassia is a project manager at METRONET, she is passionate about shaping a better world by connecting people and economies with rail, road, sea and air based transport systems. Kassia over 5 years’ engineering consulting experience at Arup in Perth, AECOM in Sydney and the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) in Perth and Melbourne. Kassia is the Engineers Australia WA Divisional Committee Member for STEM.

Giles Graham

Giles is a professional Town Planner and passionate transport-cyclist. He was named the Planning Institute of Australia (‘PIA’) WA Young Planner of the Year in 2017; won the WA Outstanding Tertiary Student Project Award for Planning Excellence; and received a national commendation for his First Class Honours Thesis entitled ‘How can transport planners maximise mode-shift towards active (bicycle) transport in Perth, Western Australia?’ in 2018/19.

Giles is currently employed as a Planning and Project Officer in the Cycling Team at the Department of Transport and is predominantly working on reviewing the WA Bike Network Plan; investigating the Road Traffic Code as it relates to bicycle infrastructure; and improving links with other Teams, Departments and Agencies to improve inter-Government collaboration and integration.

Kevin Guo

Kevin is a transport engineer with 6 years’ experience working in both the public and private sector. He has established a diverse transport portfolio within the fields of transport modelling, traffic engineering and transport planning. The core of his experience has primarily been in traffic simulation and analytical modelling throughout Australia and New Zealand.

In recent years, Kevin has been the lead modeller for several high profiled projects including; land-use plans, development applications, road and public transport infrastructure projects. Kevin has experience in numerous operational and analytical software packages including Aimsun, VISSIM, Paramics, SIDRA and Linsig.
