Located at the City Depot, the Senior Transport Engineer will support the Transport and Development Business Unit to meet the City’s strategic plans through the provision of advanced technical knowledge and advice to key stakeholders on transport related matters in order to improve the safety and efficiency of the City’s transport network.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Undertake analysis of crash statistics, accident investigations and research, determine and design accident remedial measures and prepare Black Spot funding submissions;
- Take a lead role in the design and development of transport engineering projects and programs; and
- Undertake and manage operational transport modelling and analysis of intersections and network performance.
The successful candidate will have;
- Tertiary level qualification in Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline with proven industry experience;
- Several years’ demonstrated experience providing technical advice and resolving complex transport engineering related matters;
- Appreciation and understanding of traffic management planning and urban design principals; and
- Advanced knowledge of traffic engineering, strategic transport planning and road safety standards and guidelines.
This full time, permanent position offers a cash salary range of $87,843 - $115,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience, plus superannuation.
