About this event
Come join us for a ‘welcome back’ to the GC sub-branch networking event.
We will have various speakers from Local Government to kick things off as well as a Mentimeter for attendees to get involved in what they want to see at future GC events.
For those that want to kick on, we will head over to the GC Tavern across the street for a drink/networking.
Light refreshments will be provided during the presentation portion of the event, with drinks and nibbles provided at the Tavern, thanks to our event sponsors.

Todd Rohl | City of Gold Coast
Todd is a town planner by trade, with over 25 years’ experience as a senior executive, including advocating for the business community at a local, state and national level. He has delivered heritage, urban design and built form outcomes of national significance in Canberra, leading the transformation of and regulatory reform in government institutions. Having worked in local, state and Australian governments’ and in the private sector, Todd’s career has been driven by the desire to create better places, broaden his perspective by listening to more voices and drive positive organisational change. Todd is currently working with the City of Gold Coast on the new Planning Scheme with a focus on stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management.
Topic description
In this presentation, Todd will provide an update on the Local Growth Management Strategy and new Planning Scheme, sharing key insights on the importance and value of the stakeholder engagement process being embarked on by the City of Gold Coast in delivering a workable, efficient and modern new Planning Scheme.
Gleb Kolenbet | City of Gold Coast
Gleb Kolenbet is a Strategic Transport Planning professional and an RPEQ at City of Gold Coast, where he plays an instrumental role in developing the city's next-generation Transport Strategy. With a background in civil and environmental engineering, Gleb is recognised for his results-driven approach to delivering practical, integrated transport solutions. His expertise spans complex regional projects across LGAs in Southeast Queensland, including comprehensive transport planning, traffic and parking studies and strategic transport policy development. As a passionate advocate for multimodal transport systems, Gleb combines technical depth with strategic vision to address the region's evolving mobility challenges.

In this presentation, Gleb will share key insights into Gold Coast's strategic transport response to the new Local Growth Management Strategy (LGMS), exploring how the City is planning for and creating a sustainable, resilient, and reliable transportation network to serve one million future residents.
