Following the release of the Noosa Transport Strategy in 2017, Noosa Shire Council has been trialling a number of transport initiatives to address peak period traffic congestion.
These trials have included additional free holiday buses, temporary park ‘n’ ride shuttles, marketing, information management systems, traffic control and bus queue jumps, parking changes, employee carpooling App and paid parking.
This paper provides an overview of these transport trials and lessons learnt through the implementation process.
