Steven Burgess | Technical Director – Transport Planning | GHD
Steven is a leading contributor to the planning, design and development of liveable villages, towns and cities. He brings 30+ years’ experience as a transport engineer and urban strategist. He is passionate about parking and the influence on mode choices and urban economics. He has worked on a plethora of parking projects, particularly town and city centre parking strategies, redefining the relationship between demand, supply and price to revitalise urban activity and investment.
Scott Ebbett | Principal Consultant | MRCagney
Scott is one of New Zealand’s leading professionals in developing public parking and kerbside management strategies. Scott has extensive experience in transport planning in New Zealand and Australia working from both an operational and strategic aspect. More recently Scott has led several projects looking at how councils can support the emerging field of last-mile city logistics aimed at reducing the impact of large high-emission vehicles in dense urban cores. Scott has developed a wide-ranging skillset that includes project management, strategic development, relationship management, leadership, public speaking and community engagement. In 2023, Scott and Steven Burgess ran workshops around New Zealand explaining how better management of kerbside space can deliver on common strategic goals.
Charlotte French | Service Line Leader - Transport and Movement - APAC | GHD
Charlotte is a Transport Engineer and Service Line Leader for Transport and Movement at GHD. Recently relocated from NZ to Brisbane, Charlotte brings over nine years of experience in the transport industry. She is dedicated to creating safe and inclusive transport systems, inviting and connected spaces, and reducing road fatalities. Her expertise in speed management strategy, consultation, and implementation has been pivotal in numerous road safety projects across NZ. Charlotte excels at translating complex technical information into clear, actionable insights. She believes engaging with stakeholders and the community is crucial to making real change in improving the safety of our roads. By prioritising open communication and collaboration, Charlotte believes we can create safer and more connected transport environment for everyone.
