About this event
AITPM EPN presents a guided tour of the Sydney Bus Museum followed by a ride on one of the historic buses.
The Sydney Bus Museum is a not-for-profit organisation first established in 1986 at Tempe, and now permanently based within the Old Tramshed at Leichhardt in Sydney's inner-west.
To get there, a bus shuttle service is offered from Town Hall Station (Park Street, Stand H) with a capacity of 59-61 people (For the rear-platform decker buses) and 66 people (for Atlantean model). However, should you choose to find your own way there, the address is 25 Derbyshire Rd, Leichhardt NSW 2040 with public transport options available.
The tour will provide group access to the invaluable collection of Sydney’s buses and include a tour guide who will share a recount of part of Sydney's transport history.
Following the tour, there will be a round trip on one of the buses (Starting and ending at the Bus Museum) as a group.
After the round trip on the bus, there is additional time to explore amongst yourselves at the museum, taking in the history of the buses.
There will also be additional opportunity to debrief and network with professional and student peers joining in at the Royal Leichhardt Pub.
In the unlikely event there are changes to the bus shuttle service (timetable and pickup location), information will be relayed through the primary event contact (Andrew Li) via email to all attendees.
