AITPM’s young professional members ensure the industry’s sustainability and we are committed to encouraging their active engagement with our sector.

Young professionals, up to 35 years, represent our most recent entrants into the profession.

These members are eager to acquire traffic and transport skills and AITPM has a lot to offer through existing activities such as Technical Forums or targeted activities including social/networking opportunities and professional learning. Accordingly AITPM launched the Young Professional Network (YPN) in each state coordinated through the Board of Directors. The establishment of the YPN in 2012 and continual provisions for learning and development represents a key action of the AITPM’s Strategic Directions 2013-2017.

Connect with the YPN via our Facebook page.

The National Conference is a fantastic opportunity to hear from industry experts on real life projects, to learn about the latest industry developments and to network with like minded people establishing a professional network.

Through the Young Professional Award, the Institute also offers the opportunity for one first year transport graduate, or final year student in field of study that contains transport elements, from each state to attend the annual National Conference.
