About this event
In this joint event with PedBikeTrans, we will learn about emerging new Queensland active transport planning guidance which we can use as transport professionals and advocates that support the planning, design and delivery of best practice outcomes for our communities for walking, and riding. Join us as we hear from the teams that developed these documents, on topics ranging from walking network planning to bicycle parking.
Speakers from Department of Transport and Main Roads will cover:
- Walking Network Planning updated guidance
- Planning for Safe Transport Infrastructure at Schools (PSTIS) guideline – development of the bike parking guidance update
- The new “Bicycle parking at public transport: A strategy for South East Queensland”
They’ll be joined by other industry professionals who will speak to additional recent walking and bike riding guidance, planning and best practice.
