About this event
The AITPM VIC YPN Branch are pleased to invite you to this webinar, designed to provide practitioners with an overview of the National Road Safety Strategy and how Department of Transport (Victoria) administers road safety.
Hear from two leading experts in safety and reform:
1. Mandi Mees | Head of National Rail Skills and Reform Design (National Transport Commission)
2. Ross Gregory | Speed Management Lead (Department of Transport)
The National Road Safety Action Plan is currently being revised. It was reviewed by national ministers in mid-August.
The National Road Safety Action Plan provides a detailed road map for governments to implement the National Road Safety Strategy (NRSS), including a safe system review of the Australian Road Rules.
The Department of Transport delivers the Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 and action plans which aligns with the National Road Safety Action Plan. They administer appropriate speed limits, appropriate safe-system intersection and midblock treatments, and protection of pedestrians and cyclists within the state.
This webinar invites two leading experts in safety and reform to present and discuss:
- The National Road Safety Strategy
- Road user behaviour
- Safe system rules and implementation
- Speeds within Urban/Suburban Areas
- Appropriate Speed Limits and treatments
- Protection for active transport modes
For any enquires, please contact Lachlan Beckworth
