If you need some help to convince your boss to send you to the National Conference, here's some text that you are welcome to use - we look forward to seeing you in Melbourne in September!
I am keen to attend the AITPM National Conference in Melbourne from September 13 to 15 – our industry’s key professional learning event.
AITPM has been growing quickly in the past couple of years with all types of transport professionals and the conference provides a unique opportunity to hear from, and talk with, experts from the public and private sectors and from academia. It is a great opportunity to share experiences and gather information that will help me in my role, which will benefit our organisation.
The national and international speakers are expected to challenge thinking around what future transport systems look like, stimulate discussion and focus on actionable solutions that address the problems we face in our industry.
Some of the key topics explored at the conference include:
- How we design of our transport network for the future users of our community
- How we can improve our transport systems to be more equitable for all users.
- How we can coordinate transport modes in public spaces to maximise efficiency.
- How we can tackle the challenges of developing regional cities which are experiencing significant growth.
I am passionate about my role and believe I will be inspired by the discussions and presentations at the conference and bring back new perspectives, lessons learned, and practical solutions that will support a better transport future.
I’d also enjoy sharing the highlights of what I learn with the team.
