Speakers Bios:

Martin Prowse is a highly skilled and experienced business owner and manager who currently serves as CEO of the team at Matrix Traffic and Transport Data. With more than 33 years of experience in the traffic and transport industry, Martin has honed his expertise in traffic data collection, analysis, and planning. Throughout his extensive career, Martin has led a diverse range of projects, ranging from small-scale traffic studies to large-scale transportation infrastructure projects. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing traffic data collection and analysis, designing transportation solutions, and helping organizations optimize their transportation systems. Under Martin's guidance, Matrix has successfully expanded its operations to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Auckland, and the UK. Martin's deep knowledge of the latest traffic data collection technologies has earned him a reputation as one of the industry's most innovative data analysts. He has authored numerous articles on the topic of traffic data analysis, and his expertise is highly regarded by transportation professionals worldwide. Martin is an active member of the transportation community and participates in several industry associations, including the Australian Institute of Traffic Planners and Managers (AITPM). He is also a frequent speaker at industry events, where he shares his insights and expertise with fellow professionals. Beyond his professional commitments, Martin is an avid cyclist and active transport advocate. 

Erin Jackson has been delivering innovative transport projects for her clients for over 19 years across the fields of traffic engineering, transport planning and project management. With a Masters in Traffic Engineering from Monash University, Erin is a Technical Director and leader within GHD’s transport team. Her desire for continuous improvement has led to her appointment as national leader for GHD’s internal smart transport solutions transformation initiative, and global leader for a Future Communities initiative with a focus on resolving the complexities of urban networks for community benefit.

Nick Veitch is the Managing Director of VLC, where he provides strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team of over 70 professionals across Australia and Europe. With a strong background in strategic transport modelling and spatial analytics, Nick has worked on many of Australia’s largest city-shaping transport infrastructure projects. He has also successfully brought his master's project to life through the development of Planwisely. This innovative cloud-based geospatial analytics platform equips public and private sector clients with spatial data and analysis tools, empowering them to make evidence-based decisions. Alongside his leadership role at VLC, Nick is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the AITPM. He currently serves as the National Chair of AITPM’s Transport Modelling Network, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of transport modelling in Australia.
